Celebrate Banned Book Week!September 25th - October 2nd
Every year during the last week of September, "Banned Book Week" rolls around. This is the time of year to celebrate your right to read, and to stand up for our First Amendment rights of freedom of speech.
For years, books have been challenged and even banned from public facilities, such as schools and libraries. The American Library Association works year-round to prevent the banning of books.
During this week, challenge yourself to pick up a classic challenged book from our shelves, and celebrate your right to read whatever you want.
